Kromteknik takes help from the energy & climate consultancy

In 2019, Magnus Eriksson and his colleague Mats Zetterström took over the company and all 19 employees. With an energy use of just over 1,000 MWh per year, there was great potential for the company to reduce its costs, reduce environmental impact and increase competitiveness.

The company Kromteknik started with the "low-hanging fruit" - which turned out to be the lighting.

A first step was to replace all old lighting with new LED fixtures. The next includes the review and streamlining of the production units. Ensuring the lowest possible energy use during stand-by time when the business is not in operation has proven to be able to provide large savings.

Together with the Eskilstuna municipality's energy and climate advisors, they have studied the company's energy figures in more detail and thereby created conditions as well as opportunities to continue reducing their energy use.

Magnus Eriksson thinks there are many advantages to this.
